creative manifesto

why design?

the ideology that encapsulates myself and my future involves the thinking of design as everything, everywhere, all the time. everything thinking and behaving by design.

the pathways in your brain are designed a certain way, the way you see the world is by design., the ethics you hold, the systems you move through, the emotions you feel -
they all follow invisible patterns built to influence, shape, or guide you.

design isn’t just about what we make. it’s about why things are made that way, and how that why changes how we think, feel, and live.

growing up, I wanted to do everything. i could never pick a single “future job,” because everything felt important and connected. every subject was just another way of understanding people and the world around them.

in undergrad, I remember spiraling over having to pick one major. - why couldn’t I study them all?

so I chose neuroscience, my first love. i thought if I could understand the brain - the core of behavior and connection - it might help me reach everything else I was missing.

now I realize: that’s what design is.
it’s the bridge between all the things I wanted to study, make, and understand.
it’s how creativity meets cognition, art meets analysis, empathy meets experience.

with this, I hold Sylvia Plath's words in my heart: “I saw my life branching out before me like the green fig tree in the story. From the tip of every branch, like a fat purple fig, a wonderful future beckoned and winked.”

design, for me, is how I reach for all of my figs.

let's connect.

I’m always open to thoughtful conversations, creative collaborations, or simply talking about design that matters.
